
For years, ORTL has had a presence at the Ohio State Fair and has had models of unborn babies at their booth for those interested to take. They represent the size and likeness of a child at 12 weeks and are a great tool to use in demonstrating what the unborn child looks like - even at that young of an age. As Gillian Stechschulte, our Director of External Affairs accurately stated:
"The idea is to show that a 12-week old fetus does look like a baby. We want to get our message out and be visible to the community."
As you'll see in the article, there is little to no commentary on why these baby models are being received with mixed feelings (as stated in the headline). So far, we've only seen great enthusiasm for the models and will likely run out of them by the end of the week. We're curious as to what would even be seen as controversial about the little baby?
